We’re so excited to announce a NEW interactive program for children and their parents to learn about vegetables that we can grow in the garden. A hands-on approach incorporating songs, crafts, stories, recipes, taste testing and of course, planting in the garden. Children will have their own garden space where they can watch their plants transform from seed to vegetables! This 6-week program for children (ages 2-4) and their parent will run every Thursday (10am-11:30am) from May 25th-June 29th. $60 per child for the 6 week session. Register here or contact Cara at cara@abbeygardens.ca

Day 4: Carrots

Carrots are not just the colour orange, they can be purple, red, tangerine, yellow and white! From a very classic read-a-loud book to a soil scavenger hunt, children will be engaged with the discoveries of this tasty root vegetable.
