Description

Plein Air painting is the act of painting outdoors and became popular with the French Impressionists. Canadian Artists, the Group of Seven painted outside to capture nature in it’s true form. Join local artist Harvey Walker to learn the history of en plein air and get a chance to experience it first-hand. Explore painterly brushstrokes and atmospheric colour as you create a landscape painting of the bee hives in our apiary.

Harvey Walker began painting 40 years ago and works primarily in oils.  When Harvey isn’t painting, he is sharing his love for painting by teaching.  His goal is to connect the viewer through painted images that capture the eye and move the spirit beyond the visual record.

Workshop is $20 per person, which includes a canvas, paint and brushes. Suitable for adults and youth. Participants must complete a COVID screening self-assessment prior to the workshop.
