Beer, Wine, & Cheese Tasting

$50.00

Description

On Sunday, November 20th, join us for an afternoon of delicious food and beverages as we partner with Haliburton Highlands Brewing and Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery to bring you a beer, wine, and cheese tasting event! Browse our silent auction while enjoying local flavours, and then prepare to sit back and relax with the experts on food and beverage pairing.

PLUS, celebrate the launch of our Holiday Spirits fundraiser as we kick off the holiday season!

All proceeds go toward our local food program with TLDSB, Sprouts to Snacks.

How It Works

After enjoying a selection of passed appetizers from the Abbey Gardens catering team, join Sandra Chadwick from Haliburton Highlands Brewing and Sue-Ann Staff from Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery as they take guests through three cheese pairings. The pairings can be explored with wine or beer, or a mix of both. This informative and delicious experience is the perfect way to spend an intimate afternoon with experts from the food and beverage industry – and raise money for Abbey Gardens programming!

Products will be available for purchase after the tasting event.

Schedule

2:00 pm – Passed appetizers, browse the silent auction, find your seats

2:30 pm – Guided pairing begins

4:00 pm – Passed desserts, bar opens, purchase tables open

4:30 pm – Silent auction closes

About Sprouts To Snacks

Sprouts to Snacks is a community outreach program that facilitates experiential “full circle” learning, where students are actively involved with the growth and making of food, from seed to mouth, including planting, nurturing, harvesting, preparing and providing food back to schools and the students. Students learn ecological connections related to healthy gardens, healthy foods, and healthy lifestyles, all while immersed in an enrichment program that helps to develop healthy eating habits & lifestyle, heightening interest and responsibility in giving back to their community and appreciation of the natural environment essential to growing healthy.
