There are many species of bees native to Ontario that play an important role in our ecosystem. Join Susan Blayney on Wednesday August 28th from 1pm-3pm to learn all about native bees, their needs and challenges and what you can do to help support them. $10 per person.
Susan Blayney is a naturalist who has developed her interest in butterflies into a passion to protect our native pollinators. She’s served on the Kawartha Lakes Environmental Advisory Committee since 2012 and has taken the lead on having Kawartha Lakes designated as a Bee City in 2017. Currently she is chair of the Pollinator Action Committee and provides education about the importance of pollinators.
